World War II rockets found dumped behind a bus stop in England

Police appealed to find whoever left the items there.

LONDON -- Six live World War II anti-tank rockets have been discovered abandoned behind a bus stop in Essex. 

The weapons were found in Epping Road, Coopersale, and were dealt with by the Army Explosives Ordnance Disposal Unit, who disposed of them nearby.

Essex Police are eager to talk with whoever left the rockets at the bus stop on Tuesday afternoon. 

"We are appealing to find the person who left these items at the bus stop and to find out whether they have any more," an Essex police spokesman said

When asked whether the story had anything to do with Apr. 1 the police responded that it's "a bona fide appeal." 

They asked anyone with information to call 101.
