New Mutants has some new stars.

The X-Men spinoff has just cast Game of Thrones alum Maisie Williams and Split star Anya Taylor-Joy, Mashable has confirmed. Josh Boone (The Fault in Our Stars) is directing.

That makes Williams the second Stark sibling to join the X-Men universe. Her small-screen sis, Sophie Turner, starred in X-Men: Apocalypse last year and is set to return for Dark Phoenix next year.

New Mutants is pitched as a YA take on the X-Men series, following a group of students as they navigate teen angst and mutant powers. Williams will play Wolfsbane, a Scottish girl whose werewolf-like powers are in conflict with her religious beliefs.

Taylor-Joy has been cast as Magik, a Russian teen who can travel through time and space with the aid of teleportation discs. She's also a capable sorceress. In the comics, Magik is the sister of Colossus (who was last seen in Deadpool).

None of this casting news comes as a surprise, as conversations with both actresses began last year. But nothing could be made official until New Mutants was greenlit this year.

The rest of the New Mutants team includes Dani Moonstar, a Cheyenne girl who can cast illusions; Sunspot, a Brazilian boy who can channel solar power; Cannonball, a Kentuckian guy who can propel himself like a jet; and Warlock, a shapeshifting alien.

New Mutants is scheduled for release on April 13, 2018, making it the first of three X-Men movies out next year. It'll be followed by Deadpool 2 (June 1) and Dark Phoenix (November 2).
