Yahoo announced Thursday that a massive 2014 security breach compromised more than 500 million user accounts, a minor detail it forgot to mention until just now. Oops!

The company says a "state-sponsored actor" stole all sorts of personal information, including names, email addresses, phone numbers, passwords and security questions and answers.

And though this massive data breach -- one of the largest ever -- is not a notably hilarious matter for those whose information was stolen, Twitter still came through with the punchy one liners.
