OUCH. Yankees pitcher can't believe what happened to his teammate.

And that's why you wear a cup.

Oooooooooooff. Nope. Not cool.

Gary Sanchez was trying to help his New York Yankees win its wildcard game against the Minnesota Twins on Tuesday night.

And boy, did he take one for the team.

Yankees pitcher David Robertson's reaction pretty much sums it up.

The internet collectively cringed and, of course, made Simpsons jokes.

Sanchez, thankfully, was feeling good enough to keep playing. And if it's any consolation, the Yankees won 8-4, and will play the Cleveland Indians in the first round of the MLB playoffs.

Hope you're grateful, New Yorkers. If you see Sanchez at a bar, make sure to buy him a beer.
