If any game developer is looking at developing a video game based on Asian folklore legends, they need to hit up Zeen Chin.

The 32-year-old Malaysian artist's breathtaking illustrations feature fine detailing and lifelike depictions of his fantasy characters.

According to Chin, he's completely self-taught and currently works as a freelance illustrator and concept artist.

Chin's recent artwork are all part of a personal art book that he's putting together and plans to release at the end of the year.

He told Mashable that he chose Asian folklore legend as the book's theme because he was interested in the topic. He intends for the book to serve as a comparison between the mentality of a child and adult.

"I watched a lot of Hong Kong ghost movies when I was a kid, so I've always been interested in mysticism," he says.

Chin also credits Japanese film culture and how the women in anime are depicted as his stylistic influence.
