Dark Horse Comics is cooking up a new book for The Legend of Zelda fans, and it's going to deliver an early taste of the series next game, Breath of the Wild.

The Legend of Zelda: Art & Artifacts offers a peek behind the scenes at Zelda's long history, with more than 400 pages containing concept art, promo materials and interviews with the design team. Breath of the Wild is included, but the book swings for a much broader look at the series.

For Dark Horse, Art & Artifacts is a follow-up to The Legend of Zelda: Hyrule Historia, a 2013 release that established an official timeline for the various games in the series.

The new book might not have the same hook, but fans should appreciate the early look at Breath of the Wild.

The game is expected to arrive in the early months of 2017. Dark Horse notes that Art & Artifacts, which arrives on Feb. 21, 2017, includes an advance look at Breath of the Wild's art. That means we probably won't see the new Zelda until March 2017 at the earilest.
