Nintendo delivered the goods to 3DS eShop users this week.

Three of the best games ever released for Super Nintendo -- and really, any other console you can think of -- are now available for download to your 3DS handheld. It doesn't get much better than Super Metroid, The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past and Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy's Kong Quest.

Each game will cost you $7.99, and all are only compatible with the "New" model 3DS that was released in 2015. The same goes for any other SNES games available in the eShop.

In 1994, Super Metroid brought Samus Aran to Nintendo's second home console, carrying forward many of the ideas from the original NES game and improving on them. It was previously re-released on the Wii Virtual Console, but this is the first time it's been available on a handheld device.

A Link to the Past is often hailed as the best game in the Zelda series, and was the inspiration for 2013's hit 3DS game, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. Much like Super Metroid, Link to the Past fine-tuned many ideas from the original game. It's a rare game -- also like Metroid -- that still holds up after more than 20 years.

Diddy's Kong Quest wasn't quite as groundbreaking as the other two, largely because its predecessor (which is available in the eShop as well) was also an SNES release. The two games are very similar in style, but "more of the same" isn't terrible when you're springing off the original Donkey Kong Country.

The trio of sequels joins a small handful of other SNES titles that are already available in the 3DS eShop, including DKC, Super Mario World, Super Mario KartF-Zero, Earthbound and Pilotwings.
