SINGAPORE -- After more than 20 years in operation, Singapore's longest-running club Zouk is set to go global with the region's biggest outdoor dance music festival, ZoukOut. Its first overseas stop will be a preview show in April in Boracay, Philippines.

The annual music festival has been running for 15 years, and is part of the club's efforts to expand internationally. The club was acquired by Genting Hong Kong last year and will be moving out of the iconic Jiak Kim Street to a new home at Clarke Quay mid-year.

"ZoukOut Boracay is the first step in our overall strategy in growing the brand regionally and internationally," Andrew Li, Vice President, Lifestyle and Entertainment for Genting Hong Kong, told Mashable.

"Boracay is a logical and fitting introduction into the international market as a prelude edition," she added. "With its pristine beaches and crystal clear water as well as signature sunsets and sunrises which epitomises the spirit of ZoukOut."

Like ZoukOut Singapore, the Boracay edition will run over two days with an expected turnout of 5,000. Headliners include international bigwigs Kaskade, DVBBS and DubVision. Zouk Singapore's resident DJ Ghetto will also be part of the lineup.

Chandra revealed that after Boracay, ZoukOut will move on to Hong Kong later in the year and possibly another location before returning home to Singapore in December.

With this expansion news, club punters all over the region are gearing up for twice the ZoukOut fun.
