Sonia Paul

Sonia Paul joined Mashable's San Francisco bureau in March 2012. As an editorial intern, she assists with research, fact-checking, copy-editing and writing.Before joining Mashable, Sonia worked as an Assistant Language Teacher for English in Shizuoka City, Japan, through the Japan Exchange and Teaching Program. While in Japan, she also created and produced "Shizuoka Speaks," a podcast series examining local perspectives on international relations. Prior to her time in Japan, she interned at the weekly newspaper India-West and KQED Public Radio, both based in the Bay Area (from where she proudly hails).Sonia earned her B.A. from UCLA in 2008. In her spare time, she enjoys travel, challenges (her big claim to fame is that she climbed Mount Fuji five times), and eating ice cream.
