Reddit

Reddit is an online community platform categorized around different interests and powered by user-generated content. The site hosts more than 2.5M communities, known as “subreddits,” and more than 52M daily active users, called Redditors. Founded in 2005, Reddit bills itself as the “front page of the internet.” On Reddit, users submit content to various subreddits, where other users can then upvote or downvote that post or comment, therefore increasing or decreasing its visibility on the site. Moderators, or mods, regulate the content on each subreddit. Some of the most popular subreddits on the site include r/funny (42.8 million members), r/gaming (34.2 million members), r/aww (32 million members), and r/music (30.6 million members).
