There are two groups in any office: team "we need the air conditioning on even in winter" and team "it's the middle of summer but we're still cold." Office temperature battles are pretty endless — and somehow impossible to solve so that everyone winds up happy.

A current Kickstarter campaign is looking to solve this very problem with a personal air conditioning and heating watch that literally alters your body’s temperature at the touch of a button. Say hello to Aircon.

The idea for Aircon was born in Hong Kong, which, like any other bustling city, has an insane number of people maneuvering through the streets. The daily commute can get sweaty, especially in summer. The creators experienced this for themselves and set out to solve this common problem.

During a bit of experimenting, one tactic kept popping up: running cold water over your inner wrist, where pulse points and nerve endings are located to signal to the brain that the body needs to chill out (literally.)

Check out this promo video to get a better idea of what Aircon is all about:

After two years of designing, testing, and extreme attention to detail, a final prototype was brought to fruition. They've already surpassed their goal on Kickstarter — and then some — but there's still time to get in on the action and test out this product for yourself. The team plans to start shipping in December and hopes to eventually get Aircon into stores.
