The Millennial's answer to Legos is here and it's just as beautiful as you'd expect.

Like Legos, Arckits are a set of small components that click together to create miniature structures. You can follow the blueprints in the kit or create your own constructions from your imagination. Unlike Legos, though, the finished creation is pretty enough to leave out on your counter when you're done.

Arckits were launched in 2014 by an Irish architect as an alternative to the physical models that had been phased out of the industry because they were time consuming and impractical. The modular "click and connect" components make it easy to put together a physical 3-D model of the building you're planning.

Arckits aren't just for architects, though. Using creative problem solving to build something with your hands is both fun and intellectually stimulating for kids and adults alike, which is one of the reasons Legos continue to be so popular.

Rather than bright primary colors and geometric shapes, Arckits come in soft pastels and natural colors and look like realistic buildings when constructed. Purchasing an Arckit also comes with access to their online tools, including a 3D modeler and printable texture packs to add to your creation.

Because of the neutral palette and suite of digital tools, Arckits are truly fun for the whole family. Whether you're looking for educational toys that your kids will still want to play with or a hobby for your retired Dad, Arckits would be a great option.

Arckits are available at several different price points depending on how many pieces you want. A 175+ piece starter kit is $59.99 while a giant 620+ piece set goes for $398.90. You can pick up ArcKits at Target as well as on Amazon.

We'll never quit Legos, but it's nice to have options.
