Save 50%: As of Aug. 21, you can lock in a year of Paramount+ Essential or Paramount+ with Showtime for half off their usual prices. For the Essential, you'll pay $29.99 instead of $59.99 (that's just $2.50 a month), and for the Showtime bundle, you'll $59.99 instead of $129.99 (at just $5 per month). Just make sure to use the code SPORTS at checkout.

With the amount of streaming services you have to choose from these days, it's not hard to sign up for a few of end up paying just as much (or more) than the cable they were supposed to replace.

Which is why a good deal on said services — like this Paramount+ one — is definitely worth taking a second look at. As of Aug. 21, you can grab either a year subscription to Paramount+ Essential or Paramount+ with Showtime for half off their regular rates when you use the code SPORTS at checkout.

Here's why Paramount's offer is especially enticing. For the Essential plan, you'll pay just $2.50 a month, which is less than half the price of the monthly Essential plan, and just $29.99 for the entire year. You'll have to watch some ads, but you'll get access to tons of shows and movies like the Yellowstone prequel 1923, live NFL games, and round-the-clock live news.

For Paramount+ with Showtime, you'll pay just $5 a month (still less than the monthly Essential plan) and just $69.99 overall, for 12 months of everything you get with Essential, plus no ads except for live TV and on a select few shows, and access to Showtime's catalog, which includes standouts like Yellowjackets and Everything Everywhere All At Once.

It's not too often we see more than one Paramount+ plan at a time get its price slashed in half, and even less often that you'll be able to lock in that price for a year.
