PREORDERS ARE LIVE: As of Aug. 1, the new Xbox Wireless Controller – Stormcloud Vapor Special Edition ($69.99) for the Xbox Series X and S is available for pre-order at the Microsoft Store.

When it comes to gaming on the Xbox Series X and S, you can never have too many controllers. There are already several different styles and colors to choose from, and now Microsoft has announced yet another option for anyone who likes to switch out their controller colorways like their clothes. The Xbox Wireless Controller – Stormcloud Vapor Special Edition is on its way, and you can pre-order one right now.

You can pre-order the Xbox Wireless Controller – Stormcloud Vapor Special Edition at the Microsoft Store now for $69.99. It looks like that's currently the only retailer with live pre-order options at the moment, though it's likely the controller will become available at additional retailers soon.

The Stormcloud Vapor controller was unveiled on Tuesday via Xbox Wire and features a swirl of dark navy details, "inspired by clouds and storming skies, with each billowing puff of vapor bringing a unique design to each controller." It includes rubberized, blue diamond-pattern grips on the back to make it more comfortable to hold for lengthy gaming sessions. It also boasts 40 hours of battery life as well as controller remapping options by way of the Xbox Accessories app.

Compatible with both Xbox Series X and S as well as Xbox One, PC, and mobile devices, the controller also comes with a 3.5mm audio jack with Bluetooth connectivity so you can connect a headset or use it with your favorite platform. When used with an Xbox console, you can unlock a dynamic background for your dashboard. It includes "blue swirls" in different tones.
