  • BEST APPLE IPAD DEAL: The new 11-inch iPad Pro (WiFi, 128GB) with an M2 chip is enjoying its first full-fledged discount on Amazon — $749 $799 (save $50)

  • BEST SAMSUNG GALAXY TAB DEAL: This year's Samsung Galaxy Tab A8 (32GB) comes with free 3-month YouTube Premium, 3-month Google One, and 6-month Norton 360 Deluxe subscriptions when you snag it from Best Buy — $139.99 $229.99 (save $90)

  • BEST MICROSOFT SURFACE PRO DEAL: Best Buy will let you bundle a Surface Pro 8 (Intel Evo Platform Core i5, 8GB RAM, 256GB SSD) with a Keyboard for the same sale price as the device alone; it also throws in a free 6-month subscription to Trend Micro Internet Security — $899.99 $1,349.99 (save $450)

  • BEST LENOVO TAB DEAL: The third-generation Lenovo Tab M8 (32GB) boasts a built-in kids' mode and a budget-friendly price — $79 $119 (save $40)

Apple's brand new 11-inch iPad Pro held out all of 14 days before going on sale for the first time, but that's just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to pre-Black Friday deals on tablets.

Most major retailers have been in Holiday Shopping Mode since mid-October (starting with Amazon's Prime Early Access Sale), making it easier than usual to find gadgets on sale well before the fourth Friday in November rolls around. Along with a cornucopia of iPad deals, we're already seeing plenty of price drops on new and old Samsung Galaxy Tabs — though some stores' inventories are getting a little volatile as deep discounts tempt early-bird shoppers.

Deals on the Amazon Fire tablet lineup were abundant earlier this month, but those have since disappeared; they'll likely return the week of Black Friday proper. We did, however, get our first taste of Lenovo Tab and Microsoft Surface deals this week thanks to Walmart's Black Friday rollout and Best Buy's Member Mondays refresh (respectively). Overall, it feels like the right time to start working on your wishlist.
