TL;DR: Surprise! Walmart will be releasing yet another limited restock of PlayStation 5 consoles for paid Walmart+ members starting on Dec. 8 at 12 p.m. ET.

QUICK LINKS:

Did you miss Walmart's Cyber Week restocks of the PlayStation 5? That's OK, because the retailer is restocking PS5 consoles yet again.

On Dec. 8 at 12 p.m. ET, Walmart will restock the PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 5 Digital Edition for paid Walmart+ members. These elusive consoles have been nearly impossible to get since their releases back in 2020, largely thanks to bots and supply shortages, but we've been seeing more consistent restocks (especially at Walmart) since the holiday shopping season began.

If you're already a Walmart+ member, all you have to do is be ready at the time of the restock and add one to your cart (and maybe say a little prayer). If you're not a member, you still have time to sign up for $12.95 per month. Even if you sign up just to order a console and then cancel your subscription, we say it's well worth the money.

Keep in mind, though, this offer will only be available to paid Walmart+ members, meaning if you're only signed up for the free trial, you won't qualify. While it's a bit of an inconvenience for non-members, this ultimately has a silver lining — putting up a paywall will add yet another layer of protection from bots, providing a better chance for shoppers to get one over the scalpers.

Get ready, and good luck. We hope a new console is waiting for you on the other side.
