Amazon Prime members can get 2 Echo Dots for $39.98

It's official: Prime Day 2020 will run from October 13 to October 14. Amazon has wasted no time in starting up the deals, one of which is a two-for-one deal on the third-generation Echo Dot.
The new (orb-shaped!) Echo Dot was announced last week. Shortly afterward, the third-gen version of the smart assistant (not orb-shaped, but still good) went on sale, dropping from $49.99 to $39.99. It's still priced that way on Amazon, but as of September 28, Prime members can access an additional deal and get two Echo Dots for $39.98 with the code DOTPRIME2PK.
The Echo Dot doesn't have a screen like Amazon's Echo Show, but it's a solid voice assistant: You can use it to make grocery lists, play music, and listen to the news (and, of course, order things on Amazon).
The third-gen version also addresses the sound issues that plagued earlier iterations of the device, according to Mashable's review. While the Dot is never going to be your go-to for stellar bass, it's otherwise "comparable to a good Bluetooth speaker."
This deal is scheduled to expire on October 5 at 11:59 p.m. PT.
