SAVE $30: Cyberpunk 2077 just got a gigantic patch that includes a free upgrade to the new, next-gen version of the game if you have an old copy. GameStop is also offering last-gen copies for only $29.99, which means that you'll essentially get the new version for 50% off as well.

In December 2020, we were all chomping at the bit for Cyberpunk 2077. The hype was unlike anything most gamers had ever seen before, and it honestly seemed like Cyberpunk 2077 would be the greatest video game of all time. (The Witcher 3 devs were making it, after all.)

But the game fell short. Cyberpunk 2077 debuted with a bevy of bugs, and many of the promised features were missing entirely. The game ran so poorly on PlayStation 4 consoles that it had to be temporarily removed from the PlayStation Store.

Luckily, Cyberpunk has just received a huge update that allegedly remedies those bugs and performance issues. At the time of writing, you could snag a copy for 50% off at GameStop and upgrade to the next-gen version of the game for free.

The next-gen upgrade is available to all owners of the last-gen version of Cyberpunk 2077, as long as they have a PlayStation 5, an Xbox Series X, or an Xbox Series S. Even if you didn't pick up an old copy when it first came out, you can still get that next-gen version free of charge. Just pick up your copy at GameStop, slide the disc into your next-gen console, and download the new version from your digital storefront. Now you get to play the best version of Cyberpunk 2077 without suffering through the growing pains.
