Subscription boxes and geeks go together like Kirk and Spock, like Harry and Ron, like Eleven and Eggos.

Geeky subscription boxes play into our love for collectibles and our addiction to anticipation. And thanks to brands like Her Universe, and against the best efforts of toxic gatekeepers, women and femme-identifying individuals have more options than ever when it comes to expressing their fandom and their femininity.

There's a subscription box for everything these days, including a bunch for feminine geeks who want to express their fandom through jewelry, cosmetics, and clothing. Here are a few of our favorites.

Geek Chic Monthly

This box sends you jewelry, accessories and collectibles like stickers and post cards each month inspired by a different fandom. Order before November 17 to get December's Star Wars themed box just in time for The Last Jedi.

Espionage Cosmetics

Espionage Cosmetics specializes in nerdy nail art, but has two subscription models to choose from. If you pick the monthly Nexus box, you'll receive two nail art designs each month, one of which will be a subscriber exclusive. The Boom! Box is delivered quarterly, and is more of a grab bag that might include makeup, jewelry, notebooks, bath products, and more.

Fandom of the Month Jewelry Club

The focus of the jewelry in each box is a surprise with the Fandom of the Month Jewelry Club. They can range from general themes, like the recent vampire box, or specific franchises like The Legend of Zelda and Jurassic Park. If you've got a wide range of geeky tastes and like to be surprised, this is for you.

Fangirl Monthly

Anime fans: this is the box for you. Fangirl Monthly curates jewelry and accessories inspired by your favorite characters from anime and manga. Each box includes a collectible post card and three to five pieces of jewelry (or accessories like key chains and hair clips.)

Kal-Elle Fandom Monthly

At $19/month, Kal-Elle is the most expensive of the fandom boxes listed here, but it's also the highest quality. Each month you'll get seven or eight femme-focused items curated around a pop-culture theme. Jewelry, tote bags, tee shirts, nail polish, coffee mugs, and bath bombs have all been in past boxes.

Loot for Her

The geeky subscription giant LootCrate has several apparel boxes, including one geared towards women. Each month you'll get a geeky wearable or accessory like clothing, jewelry, scarves, bags, etc. If you already have a LootCrate subscription this is a great add-on.

Book(ish) Box

The literary ladies of Book(ish) Box curate a mix of book-themed goodies each month, including a novel (adult or YA) and a T-shirt. You can choose if you want just the shirt, just a book, just a book and goodies, just a book and shirt, or the whole bunch. There's even plus-size and unisex versions.
