PREORDER: As of Oct. 27, you can reserve a digital copy of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — The Definitive Edition (out Nov. 11) for $59.99 via the PlayStation Store, the Microsoft Store, the Nintendo eShop, or the Rockstar Store; physical copies (out Dec. 7) are also up for grabs at Amazon and Best Buy.

Ah shit, here we go again.

Rockstar Games has officially announced the release date of Grand Theft Auto: The Trilogy — The Definitive Edition, a revival of its first three 3D Grand Theft Auto games (GTA IIISan Andreas, and Vice City) that remasters them with "GTA V-inspired modern controls" and "across-the-board visual enhancements."

The collection is set to launch digitally on Nov. 11 for PlayStation 5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC — physical copies will arrive later on Dec. 7 — and you can preorder it now at several major retailers for $59.99. (Kind of pricey considering these titles are almost of legal drinking age, but also pretty reasonable considering the massive scope of their worlds.)

Note that Rockstar yoinked all existing/singular versions of the games from digital stores in mid-October, so this will be their final form from here on out.

If you check your expectations for Red Dead Redemption II-style graphics at the door, you'll probably be pleasantly surprised by the design tweaks Rockstar's made to the iconic trio of early-2000s action-adventure titles. (Mashable's Adam Rosenberg described the vibes as "late '90s computer-animated kids' cartoon," which feels spot-on.) Most impressive are the lighting and texture updates to its sprawling cities and sceneries — Liberty City, Vice City, and San Andreas have never looked better.

At the time of writing, you could reserve a digital copy of GTA: The Trilogy for $59.99 via the Playstation Store, the Microsoft Store, the Nintendo eShop, or the Rockstar Store; physical copies were also up for grabs at Amazon and Best Buy.

Nobody's put it on sale quite yet, though Rockstar itself will give you $10 off a future purchase of $15 or more if you buy the bundle from it directly.
