The arrival of Old Man Winter means layers, wind-stung skin, and crying because it's just so damn cold.

If you're anything like us, you're constantly looking for the latest and greatest supplies to make the morning commute as bearable as possible. Check out our list of the coolest products that utilize tech to keep you warm.

Uniqlo's Heattech line: the new way to layer

Bundling up to brace the outside world used to be super uncomfortable — until Uniqlo came along. The clothes feature fabric that actually creates heat pockets from the moisture evaporating from the body. Coming in multiple levels of warmth, these men's and women's dress pants, jeans, and leggings are perfect for everyday wear — and are super stylish. Uniqlo also offers an insane selection of heattech shirts, crewnecks, and any other threads you can imagine.

The heated jacket that dreams are made of

There are obviously a ton of wearable heattech products out there, but if you're in search of the jackpot, look no further: these men's and women's battery powered heated jackets by ORORO have three levels of heat and a durable water repellent and wind resistant coating, so you'll never have to be scared to leave your house and brave the cold again.

The puffer vest, revamped

We know that those puffy vests are the warmest thing you can get next to a winter jacket, but they've been dethroned. The Gyde vest has four wired heating zones reaching 135 degrees Fahrenheit and a rechargeable battery, so your torso will be forever toasty.

A step up from Hot Hands

It's hard to keep your mitts toasty even with gloves on — and forget trying to move your thumbs to text. The EnergyFlux Ellipse Handwarmer is a step up from those one-time use heat packets, with two different heat settings and a rechargeable battery that can also charge your phone. It's the next best thing to holding your hands in front of the fireplace.

Say goodbye to numb toes with heated insoles

Not being able to feel your toes is seriously the worst. When thick socks just won't cut it, these rechargeable heated insoles are here to save the day. Even if you're trekking through snow, the three heat settings (operated by a remote control) will make sure to keep the feeling in your feet.

When wool socks just aren't cutting it

Speaking of numb toes, the tops of your feet need to feel the love too, right? If heated insoles aren't up your alley or too difficult to fit in your favorite shoes, these electric socks are for you. With a rechargeable battery that lasts for up to 5.5 hours, these can keep your piggies warm all winter.

Like an electric blanket for your neck

Scarves are old news — but electric scarves aren't. This fleece, electric heated scarf heats up in seconds and will keep your neck toasty even in the nastiest winds. It's rechargeable, so even if the weather is looking bleak for the next month, you can use it every day without worry.

When a standard beanie isn't enough

Ears are some of the most vulnerable body part when it comes to cold weather — they're bright red, numb, and they sting, even with something covering them. This heated hat is your solution to frozen ears, with multiple heat levels and a rechargeable battery to keep your noggin toasty for up to six hours.
