The newest Roomba, now at its cheapest: As of Jan. 18, the iRobot Roomba j7 and j7+ are $250.99 off at Amazon, dropping them to $399 and $599, respectively.

If gifting a robot vacuum for Valentine's Day is your idea of romantic (we agree), then the following deal from iRobot is quite festive. The Roomba j7+, iRobot's latest self-emptier, has dropped from its Sept. 2021 debut price of $849.99 to $599.

That $250.99 (30%) discount makes this the cheapest the j7+ has ever been, including during Black Friday and Cyber Monday season. The $250.99 discount is also applied to the Roomba j7 (same vacuum sans automatic emptying), which is now $399.

The j7 series's claim to fame? Making robotic vacuuming an actually hands-free process. Anyone who has partaken in the pre-vacuuming step of ensuring that the floor is cleared of cords and backpack straps knows how luxurious that prospect sounds. iRobot's PrecisionVision Navigation tech combines new physical sensors and upgraded recognition software to better avoid common obstacles like phone chargers.

You can kickstart cleaning in a variety of ways, making the j7 or j7+ easy to integrate into your household's schedule. Use the app, or let the geolocation on your phone tell the j7+ to get the job done while you're not home. The revitalized iRobot Genius app also whips up custom cleaning suggestions based on earlier rounds, like offering to set a schedule to cover the kitchen after dinner each night.
