If you ask Hermione Granger to make her cup of butterbeer levitate, she would have to bring out her wand and utter the words "Wingardium Leviosa." But if a muggle like you, who's been waiting for their Hogwarts letter since forever, was requested to do the same, all you have to do is place your glass on a special surface to make it float mid-air, no wands or spells required.

The folks at Levitating X, who have never received any sort of magical training whatsoever, have invented the Levitating Cup, a glass that makes use of electromagnetic suspension so that the glass can hover above a small metallic base in zero gravity. So no, not magic — just science.

Check out the cup in action

Though your beverage would taste the same, the Levitating Cup makes for a pretty awesome drinking experience. Bring it to your next party to make jaws drop to the floor, or just enjoy it at home and have an excuse to toss your coasters into the trash bin. Before you begin to worry about how easily it could break, you should know that the cup is made of shatterproof faux glass.

This gravity-defying cup typically costs $200, but you can get it now for $144.99.

Oh, and did we mention there's also a levitating cocktail glass, too?
