Listening to music with an aux cable is so 2000s, and using Bluetooth can get cumbersome when a bunch of people want to control the playlist. MIA Sound wants to deliver a new kind of wireless speaker to make blasting your music more seamless.

Dubbed the Lunchbox Speaker, this new speaker by Mia Sound is currently seeking funding on Kickstarter. The idea is that it will get rid of wires and Bluetooth and instead let you play your music for a crowd just by laying your phone on top with its "lay-and-play" technology. The sound should flow seamlessly from your phone and out of the speaker. It also promises to charge your phone wirelessly as it plays music and features a kickstand for when you want to play videos. For phones without built-in wireless charging, it will also come with two adapters, so any phone can get the most out of the Lunchbox.

The speaker itself is compact and portable, according to the campaign page, and boasts more than 13 hours of playtime on one charge so that the music can go on for a while.

Check out the Lunchbox Kickstarter page to learn more and show your support. A $55 pledge will get you the speaker when it ships this March.
