TL;DR: PlayStation is offering a $15 credit to the PS Store for new PlayStation Plus subscribers — sign up for a year to get the deal.

The debate between whether to buy a PlayStation 5 or an Xbox Series X is still a matter of preference. Both have their perks and their shortcomings, and at this point, most people will just take what they can get considering how hard they are to find in stock. But one thing that Xbox has over PlayStation is Game Pass, one of the very best deals in all of gaming.

PlayStation's answer to Game Pass is PlayStation Plus, which admittedly isn't as robust as what the former has to offer, but it's still worth having (if not essential) if you're a PlayStation console owner. If you have yet to bite the bullet and sign up, PlayStation's current deal might convince you — right now, you can get a $15 store credit for the PlayStation Store when you sign up for a year of PS Plus. It's that easy. Basically free money.

When you sign up for PlayStation Plus, a whole new world of gaming opportunities opens up to you. For one, you can actually play online multiplayer games with your friends. The main draw of the service, though, is the selection of free games that become available to subscribers each and every month, as well as exclusive discounts in the PS Store. From lesser-known indies to blockbuster titles, you'll get to chance to download them at your leisure on a consistent basis. Also new to PS Plus is the PlayStation Plus collection, which is a selection of classic PlayStation games from last generation that you can play free of charge (and they aren't limited-time downloads like the monthly offerings) — ranging from the Uncharted series, to God of War, and plenty of other must-plays, this collection is a necessity for anyone playing catch-up, or even seasoned players looking for a hit of nostalgia.

Sign up for your first year of PlayStation and automatically receive a $15 credit to spend on games and more in the PS Store.
