One of the biggest tech sales of the year is in full spring — er, swing.

Savvy shoppers can save up to $600 on Surface tablets and laptops, up to 90% on digital Xbox and PC games, up to 25% on Xbox controllers, and up to 33% on PC accessories like keyboards and mouses during the Microsoft Store's Spring Sale, an annual sitewide event that runs through the tail end of April. (Most deals will wrap up on April 20, but some last all the way until April 30.)

We spent the better part of a morning poring over all the listings and rounded up the best deals below. Full disclosure: There aren't many mind-bogglingly steep or rare discounts that major retailers like Amazon and Best Buy can't compete with (aside from some dirt-cheap games), but this is definitely a sale worth perusing if you're interested in upgrading an older device or grabbing something new to play.

Best Microsoft Surface deals

Why we like it

Microsoft's latest flagship 2-in-1 tablet sports a 1080p HD camera, a 13-inch, edge-to-edge PixelSense touchscreen with a 120Hz refresh rate, and your choice of two processor options. Our comrades at PCMag (which is owned by Mashable's publisher, Ziff Davis) found the ARM-based SQ3 model with 5G a little underwhelming in terms of performance, but gave the powerful and ultra-polished Intel version an Editor's Choice Award: "Long live the king of Windows tablets," reviewer Charles Jefferies said.

The Microsoft Store has almost every configuration on sale for up to $300 off until April 23, starting at $999.99 for the 256GB model with an Intel Core i5 processor.

Best Xbox and PC game deals

Why we like it

Available for Windows and Xbox One (with a free next-gen update for the Series X|S), this stunning sequel to 2015's Ori and the Blind Forest was one of our absolute favorite video games of 2020. Former Mashable entertainment reporter Kellen Beck went so far as to say it's "easily one of the best platformers of the past 10 years or so," praising its exquisite visuals and "addictive" gameplay in his review. The Microsoft Store has it on sale for a mere $5.99 until April 20, which is 83% off its suggested retail price of $29.99 (or a $24 savings). As far as we know, it's never been that cheap before anywhere.

Best Xbox controller deals

Why we like it

The latest entry in Xbox's shimmery and mystical "Shift" controller series features a color-changing, blue-purple finish that gives it "deep space vibes," according to a press release. In short: It's pretty! You can grab it on sale in the Microsoft Store for just $59.99 (or $10 off its $69.99 MSRP) until April 22, which Best Buy was matching when we last checked. It wasn't in stock anywhere else, FYI.

Best PC accessory deals

Why we like it

Featuring a cushioned palm rest and dedicated shortcut keys for Microsoft 365 apps and emojis, this keyboard's funky shape serves an important purpose, which is to eliminate strain by encouraging a more natural hand/wrist/forearm posture. It has a bit of a learning curve at first, but according to PCMag deputy managing editor Tom Brant, it definitely "deserves a close look from productivity hounds." It typically retails for $59.99, but Microsoft will give it to you for $45.99 until April 16 — a 23% savings and a price that's matched on Amazon, just in case it sells out.

All offers end April 16.
