PSA: Apple's AirPods Pro are still on sale for $199
SAVE $50: The Apple AirPods Pro are sale for just $199 at Amazon and Walmart as of Oct. 19. They normally retail for $249, so you'll be saving $50. (Call it an early Black Friday deal.)
Apple's AirPods Pro may be celebrating their first birthday at the end of the month, but it's you who's getting a gift: As of Oct. 19, the bestselling wireless earbuds are on sale for just $199 at Amazon and Walmart — a savings of $50, or a whole 20%. (That's a massive discount for an Apple product.)
Not only is that the AirPods Pros' lowest price ever, but it's the same deal both retailers were offering over Prime Day — yep, it's still live.
As a quick refresher, the AirPods Pro offered upgrades over previous-gen AirPods in the form of improved sound quality, a comfy, customizable fit, a 24-hour battery life, and Active Noise Cancellation. (There's also a "Transparency Mode" that lets you hear some outside noises without having to pause your music, in case you're talking to someone nearby or walking in a busy area.)
They're still some of the best wireless earbuds out there even a year out, so even if you're decidedly Team Android, you should consider snagging a pair. (Click here to read Mashable's official AirPods Pro review for a more in-depth take from tech reporter Karissa Bell.)
FWIW, there's a good chance both retailers will bring this $199 deal back for Black Friday, if they ever even end it: It's not unusual for Apple products to get permanent discounts a year or so into their lifespan — especially if a newer model gets released (see: the iPhone 11) — and the AirPods Pros are getting up there. But just in case their inventory starts dwindling thanks to this all-time-low pricing, buying now would be a smart move.
