TL;DR: The Ecoegg is on sale for $34.99 (regularly $42, now discounted 18%) as of Oct. 30.

Laundry isn’t exactly known to be environmentally friendly. Scented liquid laundry detergent and dryer sheets can contain hazardous chemicals and emit VOCs. Not to mention, you use a ton of plastic every time you purchase detergents and fabric conditioners. So, an eco-friendly alternative is definitely worth a second look.

The Ecoegg, for instance, offers a way to do your laundry with no liquid, powder detergent, or fabric conditioner required. It replaces your current laundry washing system and cleans your clothes effectively using two types of natural mineral pellets encased inside of a recyclable egg. There are no harmful chemicals, like liquid detergents, and it will last you up to 210 washes (or up to a year for an average family). Just pop the mineral pellets inside the egg, place it in your washing machine on top of your laundry, and you’re good to go.

The Ecoegg comes in a bundle with a dryer egg and detox egg. The dryer egg reduces tumble drying by up to 28 percent and softens your laundry in the process. The detox tablet, on the other hand, is used to deep-clean your machine before doing your laundry. This should take out any lingering odors and buildup of any liquids or powders from previous use. In other words, you’ll be starting completely fresh with the Ecoegg.

The Good Housekeeping Institute honored the Ecoegg with a 2020 Getting Greener and Reducing Plastic endorsement. Plus, it earned a Queen’s Award for Enterprise for innovation. It’s also certified as an allergy-friendly product from Allergy UK.

If you’re working towards a greener lifestyle, it’s worth taking a look at your laundry situation. With the Ecoegg, you can reduce plastic use and lessen your use of harmful chemicals — all while saving money. Get the Ecoegg bundle for just $34.99 (regularly $42) for a limited time.
