SAVE 65%: In honor of Prime Day, GlassesUSA is offering 65% off frames for basic prescription sunglasses and eyeglasses from Oct. 5 until Oct. 21 with code PRIME65. You can also take 70% off lens upgrades for its new Champion capsule collection with code LENSES70.

Back-to-school energy is still in the air, which means you might be jonesing for a new pair of glasses. As of October 5, you can take 65% off frames for basic prescription sunglasses and eyeglasses at GlassesUSA, the online glasses shop that we've found is particularly good for deals on designer brands.

To activate the deal, which is in honor of Amazon Prime Day (GlassesUSA also has an Amazon referral program), use the code PRIME65 at checkout, which will override any code that's already kicked in automatically.

Unfortunately, the sale doesn't include "premium" eyewear, so some of the best designer frames aren't discounted. You'll need to make sure the ones you want aren't labeled "premium" — if they are, it'll say so in a little circle above the product photo.

Still, there are plenty of cool frames to which the deal does apply — and plenty of other promotions on the GlassesUSA website to explore.

GlassesUSA also launched a capsule collection with Champion on Oct. 5, which includes quite a few great — and very unique — glasses and shades. If you want glasses that no one else has, you'll want to give those a look. You can also use the code LENSES70 to get 70% off lens upgrades (blue light protection, coatings, etc.) on the Champion line as of Oct. 5.

The site is also running a buy one, get one free code: BOGOFREE, which is also active as of Oct. 5. Per GlassesUSA, a pair of glasses from the Champion collection can be the "buy" pair, but not the "free" pair. So many rules! But that's what we're here for.
