Sorry if you needed a breather between Halloween and Thanksgiving — you're in gift guide season now and there's no turning back.

But with gift guide season being in full swing, there's still one overarching question: What actually is the best gift? Every publisher and their mother will try to tell you which items are the best gifts this year (including us), but with 10 number one "bests" from different lists, it can all get a little unwieldy.

One of the gift guides that we look forward to every year was just released Nov. 7 on Amazon: Oprah's Favorite Things for 2018. (Props to BlackFriday.com for the head's up.)

Every year since the 1990s, everyone's favorite lady has made a list of her most-loved items. With access to basically every hot gift item imaginable, a huge family, and years of gifting wisdom built up, it's pretty widely accepted that the woman knows what she's talking about.

We've pulled out a few of our favorite Oprah picks, but you should really check out the whole list — there are options for every random person on your list. Note: Most, if not all of these items are currently on sale or will be on sale for Black Friday, so check back frequently to save a few bucks.

Obsessive dog parents already know their dog is one-of-a-kind, but it'd be nice if they could get some details on the genetic makeup to see just how unique their fur baby is. Instead of having everyone guess the mix of their mutt, an Embark Dog DNA Test can give a super detailed screening of their dog's breed breakdown, family history, and risk of disease. Gift it for $199.

Echo devices are a safe bet as a gift for any type of person — the hard part is deciding which one. Oprah has chosen the Echo Spot, and we back her decision. This cute eight ball-looking guy is one of two Echos to sport a screen, offering possibilities like watching recipes, checking on security cameras, or making hands-free calls. Alexa can also be used to ask questions or control your smart home, making life significantly easier in any household. Gift it for $129.99.

People who love grilling really love grilling — so when it gets too chilly to stand outside, they're going to be bummed until it's BBQ season again. This indoor smokeless grill from Philips is perfect for roasting chicken, pork, lamp, and duck, and is more than enough to fill the void. The automatic rotary skewer and consistent rotation speed makes for even, golden brown cooking, and the frame can be taken apart and folded for easy storage. Gift it for $299.99.

iPhone-owning music junkies deserve none other than the Apple AirPods, which offer stellar sound plus the clout that simply comes with owning AirPods (as long as they won't lose them, that is). These tiny earbuds have gotten praise for how balanced and booming their sound is for how inconspicuous they are, and offer numerous smart features as well as seamless pairing with Apple's W1 chip. Gift them for $159.

Look no further: The Mia Smart Sonic Cleansing Brush is here to shake up anyone's skin routine. Clarisonic claims to remove 99% of makeup, dirt, and oil (six times more than face wipes), using a suite of spinning brush heads for a comfortable clean that can help treat already-there blemishes and dry spots and prevents new ones. Gift the holiday set for $249.

"Don't talk to me before I've had my coffee" people will appreciate this one: The Nespresso Lattissima One Espresso Machine by De'Longhi features an intense 19-bar pump for an espresso fancier than Starbucks, or a latté or cappuccino if that's what they're feeling that day. De'Longhi's unique system just requires a filled milk jug to make a rich, frothy drink in 40 seconds. This will save them serious time in the morning, not to mention money, and gives them something to look forward to when they don't want to get out of bed. Gift it for $379.95.

Artsy people can be tricky to gift to, especially when 1. They already have every device out there or 2. You have no idea what you're looking for. But we can almost guarantee they don't have the Ricoh Theta 360-degree camera: This puppy makes video opportunities possible that the average video camera can't, with fully spherical HD images and video and a tripod to put them in front of the lens for once. The app makes editing, shutter speed altering, and sharing a breeze. Gift it for $199.95.
