Whether you're a seasoned fitness fan or are just starting on basic workouts, one common frustration is how damn long planking can feel. It's a great core strengthening exercise, but timing yourself can feel like it's taking forever as the seconds seem to go by at a snail's pace. The Plankpad on Kickstarter, however, is trying to make the planking experience more fun.

Plankpad is a balance board with comfortable padding that's easy on your hands and elbows, so they're not boring into the ground as you plank. The Plankpad app features motion-controlled games that you play by putting your device on the pad and balancing left and right. This both keeps your body active and makes time fly by while you're focused more on the game and less on the timer.

The app features six different games to choose from and the campaign promises more in the future. The app also features a workout section to add some more motion to your planking. It's perfect for spicing up your workout without worrying about how long it takes. The Plankpad also comes with a floor mat for you to balance on without the pad damaging your floor.

Visit the Plankpad Kickstarter page to learn more and drop a pledge — $77 will get you the whole set up.
