There is a big, new smartphone in town—and it might make some of you Apple diehards start questioning your life choices.

After a months of bumps, bangs, and endless rumors, the Samsung Note 8 is finally here — sporting some elegant new looks and a grab bag of slick new features. Here’s a preview of what it has in store—and some must-read info on how best to get your hands on one.

The Screen Samsung smartphones have long had gorgeous screens, and this one’s no different: its glass front and back curve to meet the metal edges, making the screen feel even bigger than its 6.3 inches. The crisp, high-resolution screen is bright with deep blacks—and it comes with Samsung's signature stylus, which stores itself neatly inside the phone when you're not using it.

The Nuts and Bolts The phone comes with 64GB of storage, but a microSD card slot lets you easily bump that up to 256GB — meaning there ought to be plenty of space for all your movies, songs, and pics — and it runs on the same powerful chip as the S8. (For all the deets, check our full review of the device here.)

The Cam But the biggest improvement on this model — and the one you’ll probably get the most use out of — is the camera. It’s got two 12 megapixel cams, one wide-angle and one 2x zoom. Both have optical image stabilization, so your snaps will be sharp as hell. And don’t worry, it’s still got a front-facing selfie camera. (Our reviewer says the Note 8’s photo skills might just be better than ye olde iPhone’s.)

The Price WIth so much awesome packed in one phone, it doesn't come cheap. But, if you pre-order soon, you can still save on the Note 8.

The phone is just now available for pre-order, and if you get one before September 15 (when the phone starts shipping), you can score the Note 8 for $929.99. For pre-orderers, Samsung is sweetening the deal by giving you a free Gear 360 camera or "Galaxy Foundation" kit that comes with a high-speed wireless charger and 128GB memory card. There's also a financing option at $38.75 per month for 24 months.

For comparison's sake, the New York Times reported this week that the newest iPhone will likely hit the market for $999.

The Big Reason Not To Get One JK, there isn't one! Learn more about the Note 8's pricing and financing plans here.
