Rent and buy movies for as low as $2 with this early Prime Day deal

Save up to 50%: Amazon Prime Video movies and TV shows are up to half off as an early Prime Day deal.

As if you needed another excuse to become an Amazon Prime member, as an early Prime Day deal, the tech giant is offering up to 50% off movies and shows. That means you can rent La La Land for $1.99 or buy it for just $4.99.

Obviously, La La Land isn't the only movie included in this sale (though it is one I'll be watching) — tons of classics and newer releases are discounted. In the lineup you'll find content for both adults and children, so the whole fam can stay entertained for cheap in the next couple weeks.

If you're not a Prime member, now would be a fantastic time to sign up or test out the 30-day free trial. Not only will you save on movies and shows, you'll also get to take advantage of all the Prime Day deals that are going to crop up between now and actual Prime Day on Oct. 13 and 14.
