Only three things in life are certain: death, taxes, and the fact that everything is better in miniature form. Take mini fridges, for instance: Put one next to your couch and you'll never have to get up to get a cold one again. See also: miniature cupcakes. They're much easier to eat than a regular cupcake and have the perfect ratio of frosting to cake. And miniature horses? Adorable and incapable of trampling you to death. (At least not very quickly.)

The nano drone from Cheerson is yet another stellar example of the "miniature = better" theory. Coming in at just 0.53 ounces, this teeny quadcopter is the smallest drone of its kind to carry its own camera for taking pictures from all sorts of tricky angles. Its four blades allow it to fly up, zip down, head left, veer right, do flips, spin, hover in place, and even cruise upside-down at three flight speed modes, all of which you control via a transmitter. You can even capture epic pictures and videos at night thanks to its included LED lights.

When you're done piloting the drone around your office or apartment, hook it up to the included USB cord to fully charge it in less than 30 minutes. You'll also get four spare blades (just in case you get a little too bold with the joystick), plus a 2GB microSD card to save all your images.

For a limited time, the World's Smallest Drone from Cheerson is on sale for just $24.99 — 50 percent off the original price of $49.99.
