While you may be accustomed to fitness trackers looking like props from sci-fi movies, more and more companies are in the business of creating stylish wearables.

Enter the Activité Steel by Withings. While the competition has grown since the company originally released their analog fitness tracker, no one has succeeded at producing a better-designed alternative at a comparable cost.

Let's talk design

If you’re looking to improve your health by tracking your personal data but don’t want to sport an eyesore around your wrist, the Steel Activité could be a good solution. Designed with a 316L stainless steel casing, chrome hands, and double-domed glass, the watch has the look and feel of a much pricier watch. The band may not be made of leather, but the lightweight silicone still looks great and makes it workout and sleep-friendly.

An unbeatable battery life

In the old days, people wound their watches. Today, we charge them. With the Activité Steel, you will rarely need to worry about how much juice is left in the device. The watch boasts a robust eight-month battery life and doesn’t require any prompting to start recording your every movement. It senses you're moving or sleeping and transmits the data to the accompanying smartphone app, Health Mate.

Features worth geeking out about

The tracker features a three-axis MEMs accelerometer, one of the most accurate fitness tracking technology available today. Despite its dapper exterior, the watch is actually water resistant up to 165 feet and equipped to record your every stroke should you hit the pool.

That price, though

Normally $179.95, it's currently going for $119.95 on Amazon and has received 4 out of 5 stars with over 500 reviews. Right now, however, Mashable readers can take an extra $30 off and bring it home for just $89.95. But actually leaving home once you’re wearing it is up to you.
