It's 2017. It's certainly no secret that coding is one of the most in-demand skills out there — and for good reason. Whether you’re making tweaks to your blog, running a multi-million eCommerce site, or building an app from scratch, it comes in handy in virtually every industry and pays handsomely too.

With dozens of languages to choose from, the only question left is which one to learn first.

There's no right answer here; different languages are used for different types of projects. If your object of desire is to have a knack for building games, there’s a series of online courses available that will lead you down the right path so you don't even have to think about it.

The Unity A to Z Game Development Bundle will teach you three languages and tools: Unity (as well as Unity 3D), Blender, and C#. The seven courses in this bundle use the coding of familiar, successful games to teach you how to make one on your own. Want to learn how to create your own 3D game? One course will teach you how to build one in Unity by cloning Super Mario Run. If you want your game to look as good as, say, Angry Birds, two courses will teach you how to create an eye-catching 2D game in C# and Unity.

There are even courses that will turn you into a coding master through classics like the Legend of Zelda and air hockey.

With 83 hours of content, you can spend a long weekend diving into the world of coding, or take your time by learning a little bit each day. Each course offers lifetime access so you can take (and retake) them whenever you'd like.

As for the cherry on top of the coding sundae? It’s currently on sale. The bundle would normally set you back a whopping $1,400, but for a few days you can learn how to code for just under $50.

He has previously written for Adventure Publishing Group with toy and movie reviews as well as Anime News Network on anime interest articles because liking anime is the least nerdy thing about him. When not reviewing products, he's probably doing sociological analyses on pop culture that no one asked for. He has been told on several occasions that he does a really good Mickey Mouse impression.
