HBO's Game of Thrones is one of the most renowned TV series ever, and for good reason. As a result it's garnered a horde of fans, both of the TV show and the books that it is based on.

Whether you're looking to increase your possession of GoT merchandise, wanting to show a friend how amazing GoT is, or simply picking up a gift for someone who is justifiably obsessed, we've got some GoT-inspired gift ideas to help get you on the right track.

Game of Thrones TV Show

Game of Thrones is still an on-going production, with the last and final season of the TV show set to be aired in 2019. However, if you're thinking about getting into GoT via the cinematic route or wanting to re-watch all 7 seasons before Season 8 airs, have a look at the Game of Thrones Season 1-7 Box Set [Blu-ray] which is available for under £90 at Amazon. Some enthusiasts would call this a bargain when considering its entertainment value. Alternatively, If you're an Amazon Prime customer and want to enjoy without having to get up and change the disk over continuously, you can watch them digitally through Amazon Video, available on every smart TV, gaming console or through their website from just £19.99 per season.

Game of Thrones Books

Chances are you know someone, (or you're also that person) who is a fan of Game of Thrones because of the TV series but haven't read all five books in the A Song of Ice and Fire series. Frankly, these books aren't for the faint-hearted and are recommended for bookworms largely down to the vast size of them. Buying them individually can be pricey; that's why this Game of Thrones collectible book box set, bundled together with all five books is the perfect go-to present for yourself or someone you know that loves to read but hasn't read the books. Personally, I feel the books, make you feel more involved than the TV series and have a lot more characters and side plots to engage with. The only downside? As mentioned, the books have a lot of pages and can feel rather chunky in your hands. So those of you who are fussy commuters may want to opt for the Kindle version, which can be obtained for slightly cheaper than the paperbacks.

Game of Thrones Board Game

Risk is a game which requires patience and is quite possibly the most enjoyable board game I've ever played. A typical game can last from hours to days, and the Game of Thrones edition is perfect for fans. Boasting various different ways to play, including a basic traditional version, the advanced "dominion" version (which are both 2-5 player games), and a world at war mode whereby players can play on both, rather than one, of the custom maps provided (Westoros and Essos) and has a capacity of 7 players. Note that this board game has a certificate of 18+.

Game of Thrones Mug

These mugs are great. They're similar to other heat-sensitive mugs in that they stick to a specific theme in room temperature but turn to another when you pour hot liquid in them. For these specific ones, there's round print with slogans "Valar morghulis" and "Valar dohaeris" in room temperature and when filling with hot liquid, the Westeros and Essos card appears.

Game of Thrones Bottle Opener

You always seem like the cool person if you have a bottle opener on your person. That's why you should always be prepared to open any bottle at any time by attaching the 'Hand of the King' bottle opener to your keys. There used to be a big drawback to this bottle opener in that there was no magnet so you wasn't able to stick it to your fridge. Thankfully the makers responded to user feedback and added the much-needed magnet, so you can now stick it to your fridge or anything metallic.

Game of Thrones Shot Glasses

These set-of-4 Game of Thrones themed shot glasses are a great gift for any fan, with Stark, Targaryen, Lannister, and Baratheon house sigils on one side and their respective house words on the other.
