'13 Reasons Why' trailer piles on to Season 3's murder mystery

13 Reasons Why's de facto villain is dead, but that's only the beginning.

Season 3 opens with the murder of Bryce Walker (Justin Prentice), who raped both Season 1's late Hannah Baker (Katherine Langford) and her longtime best friend Jessica Davis (Alisha Boe).

The investigation around Bryce's death sends Liberty High into chaos; everyone is a suspect, and everyone suspects the others. Clay (Dylan Minnette), once haunted by the pain of Hannah's suicide, is now engulfed in the mystery of Bryce's murder – though as he makes clear in the trailer, he's far from sorry about it.

13 Reasons Why returns to Netflix August 23.
