If there's one thing horror films have taught us, it's that moving into a new house – especially one where something bad may or may not have happened to the previous owners – is never a great idea.

32 Malasana Street takes this classic trope and runs with it, throwing in creaking rocking chairs, unexplained notes and plenty of half-glimpsed figures lurking down shadowy corridors.

Shudder's latest exclusive is apparently "based on true events" from 1976 Madrid, following the Olmeda family as they do their best to settle into their deeply unsettling new home.

32 Malasana Street drops on Shudder on Oct. 22.
