Last September, the NBA's Philadelphia 76ers made headlines when it became the first major U.S. sports franchise to acquire and operate an esports team: Team Dignitas. Dignitas consists of multiple teams across several titles, including an all-female Counter-Strike squad, one of only a handful in the world.

Dignitas players are salaried and have full access to the 76ers' training facility, coaches, and support staff. Physical training, coaching sessions, chef-prepared meals, and a full practice setup are just some of the benefits the players receive while preparing for tournaments.
