It's already been 18 years since Dick Lee's song Home came out, but covers of Singapore's favourite National Day song keep coming.

This one we watched all the way to the end. Newish local a capella group Apex Project's tight vocal melodies held the song until the last end flourish -- a recognisable eight notes from the Singapore national anthem.

The group has an EP planned for next year, and will be representing Singapore at the Asian A Capella Championships in Taiwan.

If you haven't heard the original Home yet, watch the incomparable Kit Chan to understand why this has been our top song since 1998.
