What better way to end Carpool Karaoke than with a surprise return appearance from the singer whose original episode was so popular it broke records?

In the clip above, Adele surprises a sleeping James Corden by waking him with cymbals before offering him a lift to work, over the course of which they discuss everything from the failed prank Corden tried to play on Adele (it involved an animatronic bear) to the heartfelt conversation they had after a family holiday in 2020 that actually inspired Adele's song "I Drink Wine" from the album 30.

They laugh, they cry, and they belt out everything from "Rolling in the Deep" to an epic cover of Barbra Streisand's "Don't Rain on My Parade". A good note to end on before The Late Late Show finishes up on Thursday.
