Oscar nominee Anna Kendrick (Up in the Air) returns to the big screen, this time starring as Alice in the psychological thriller Alice, Darling.

From director Mary Nighy, the tense trailer features a nervous Alice trapped between a rock and a hard place: Lying to her abusive boyfriend, Simon, or skipping out on a dear friend's birthday getaway. Choosing to lie skittishly to her narcissist partner, Alice retreats on the friend-cation under the guise of an impromptu work trip.

Once Alice’s lies begin to unravel and Simon’s separation from his girlfriend drives him to the brink of instability, Alice must decide if her lifelong bond with her girlfriends can be thrown away for Simon’s overwhelming presence, or if she will decide to leave once and for all. With all of the gaslighting, hair-pulling, and hyperventilating, my nerves are skyrocketing waiting for the explosive premier.

The drama will also star Kaniehtiio Horn, Charlie Carrick, and Wunmi Mosaku.

Alice, Darling hits L.A. theaters on Dec. 30 and AMC theaters nationally on Jan. 20, 2023.
