Spring is coming, and thank goodness because that means we're closer to American Gods, based on Neil Gaiman's award-winning fantasy novel. Starz released a new trailer for the show on Wednesday and, as a character narrates at the end of the spectacular minute of footage, "It will be glorious."

American Gods stars Ian McShane, Ricky Whittle, Pablo Schreiber, Gillian Anderson, Kristin Chenoweth, Yetide Badaki and more, in a world where gods exist because people believe in them. As people stop believing, the gods lose power, and new gods emerge to reflect what we value. Shadow (Whittle) and Mr. Wednesday (McShane) prefer the old gods and urge them to fight the new ones, leading to the trailer's promised carnage.

The show premieres Sunday, April 30 at 9 P.M. on Starz.
