Andy Samberg and Neil deGrasse Tyson discuss the morality of sex with robots

As we all know, the question of whether or not having sex with a robot constitutes cheating is one that's troubled the scientific community for years.

At long last, though, astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson appears to have a solution.

During an appearance on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Tyson was asked three science-based questions by fellow guest Andy Samberg: "Are we alone in the universe?"; "Is time travel possible?"; and most importantly, "If you have sex with a robot, does it count as cheating?"

Tyson's response was eye-opening.

"Now, I'm not an expert on this," he says in the clip above. "But if you have sex with a robot that does not look like your wife or your girlfriend, then yes, it's cheating... If they look like your loved one, it's just... until they get home."

You can't argue with that logic.
