It's summer, and that means it's time to put on your swimsuit and jump into the ocean in Animal Crossing.

The first summer update for Animal Crossing: New Horizons is arriving on July 3, opening up the ocean around every players' island for exploration, adding new sea creatures to find on the sea floor, a new otter character named Pascal who will take your scallops in exchange for new mermaid-themed recipes, and a new outfit for Gulliver, which gives him a new piratey personality.

Animal Crossing will also be getting a second summer update with even more new stuff to do in early August.
