Anora, winner of the Palme d'Or at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, finally has a trailer.
Directed by Sean Baker (The Florida Project, Red Rocket), Anora is a Cinderella story that doesn't quite go how you'd expect.
Sex worker Anora (Mikey Madison, Scream) becomes exclusive with — then marries — her client Ivan (Mark Eydelshtyen), the son of an oligarch. Unfortunately, Ivan's Russia-based parents do not take kindly to the news, and they (and their henchmen) head off to Brooklyn to put an end to the marriage and Anora's fairytale.
Based on the trailer, though, it looks like Anora's not going down without a fight — and several expertly placed "fucks" for good measure.
