AOC returns to the Bronx with Desus and Mero, busts out her bartending skills

Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez's enemies seem to love bringing up the fact she used to be a bartender. But AOC doesn't mind.

While hanging out at a bar with Desus and Mero in the clip above — just one part of a segment where the trio explore Ocasio-Cortez's old stomping ground of the Bronx — she explains exactly why. And she does it while fixing all three of them a drink.

"It's not an insult to me, and I feel like people are always clowning themselves when they say that," AOC explains. "Because it's like okay, you think every person you represent that's a bartender, a waitress, a working person — what, that they can't do this job?

"Because let me tell you, I work with some of these people and they are not smarter than a bartender."
