In the culinary world, apples and cheese make a delightful pairing. In the tech world? Things are a bit more complex.

Many know the popular tech company, Apple, unveiled its new Mac Pro at its developer conference WWDC earlier this month. You'll likely remember that when people saw the device they compared its aesthetic to that of a cheese grater.

The internet dragged Apple's design like one might drag a fresh block of sharp cheddar down a handheld metal grate, and wondered if anyone ever dared to use the $5,999 innovation to literally grate cheese, would it work.

Sadly, we'll have to wait a bit longer to answer that pressing question, as the new Mac Pro hasn't been released yet, but YouTuber Winston Moy did his best to recreate the case and carry out his own experiment.

"Since no one outside of Cupertino has yet to lay hands on the Mac Pro, I figured I'd try to recreate that instantly recognizable texture of the Mac Pro on the Shapeoko. Out of aluminum, of course..." Moy wrote in the video description. Then came the cheese test.

Turns out the case was better used for something else. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
