The latest Aquaman trailer clocks in at a whopping five minutes, showing so much plot and so many scenes it's difficult to follow. But at least it looks pretty.

The trailer primarily focuses on Aquaman a.k.a. Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) and Mera (Amber Heard) as they learn about the importance of Aquaman's iconic trident which will help them stop a threat that threatens billions of lives. We also see a long chase scene, get a look at the colorful city of Atlantis, meet Black Manta (Yahya Abdul-Mateen II), and what appears to be a giant underwater war featuring monstrous sea creatures and insanely large crabs.

Aquaman dives into theaters Dec. 21.
